Where Saving a few pence can cost £1,000's of pounds!!

There are a number of operators stating they can supply biodiesel at extremely low prices - these operators are normally mixing general oil with other additives and selling it as biodiesel. Whilst you might save money in the short run, very quickly problems will appear and the cost of rectifying these will run into many thousands of pounds whilst you have to have your engines completely overhauled.

It is easy to check -

Make sure they have a valid in date test certificate ensuring that the biodiesel conforms to the EN14214 specification
Make sure the test certificate comes from a recognised biodiesel testing laboratory
Check with the laboratory that it is a genuine biodiesel test certificate

If the biodiesel supplier cannot give you this information and the laboratory confirm that the biodiesel certificate is genuine, then you know what the situation is.
