Don't give up now as by using biodiesel the following could save you a lot of money.

Before thinking about expensive conversion options or getting rid of your Euro I or II vehicles talk to us first. There is a good chance that by using Pure Energy Fuel's high quality Biodiesel PEF 100 you can avoid this! - Do not use cheaper grades of biodiesel.

By using PEF 100 you have a good chance of passing the Free Acceleration Smoke (FAS) test emission (cost £28 approximately). The result will depend on the condition of the engine prior to using biodiesel however trying this before having a particulate trap fitted could save you £3,500 to £5,000.

Plus running on biodiesel is cheaper than mineral diesel so you get a double saving. A further plus is no need to pay the £200 a day charge for operating in the Zone. The penalty charge is between £500 to a £1,000!!!

We recommend that you run the engine for a week on biodiesel or the equivalent of 1000 KM to let the biodiesel run through the engine. This will give the biodiesel a chance to start to get rid of the mineral diesel deposits and sludge giving you a better chance of passing the test.

The Low Emission Certificate test is carried out by VOSA. The certificate last for a minimum of 12 months and can be up to 23 months dependent on the results which exempts that vehicle from LEZ charges for the period of the test certificate.
